I have attended Brandon for this past year and I have been thoroughly impressed with the academics and the environment throughout these few months. I have also been happy with the college readiness they have been preparing us for. It has been a great experience to go through.

Overall, I think that Brandon Valley High School is a appreciable high school. Just like all high schools is does have it’s pros and cons. I would have to say the best part about Brandon is the culture that the school has. The amount of different clubs and school activities that Brandon has is also another plus. They have activities from football all the way to gaming clubs. It is almost endless at Brandon. The worst thing would probably have to be the food. The food is always a little be dry and they never give you enough for what you need to hit your daily nutrient goals. I would just like to see some changes in the food for lunches and even to have a little bit more diversity throughout the school.

I believe that Brandon Valley High School does an exceptional job preparing students for the real world and college. There are so many specialized classes for different interests along with internship opportunities for students to explore their career field before going into secondary education. There are times that I feel the administration is more strict than it should be as we are a public high school. At times there is a large difference between the responsibilities they give us to the things they restrict from us.

The schools not bad, I wish there were more AP classes as there are only 2. Some of the students are friendly but a lot aren’t. If you don’t play one of the main sports like football or basketball people will judge you for it.

I love this school. They push academics more than most and I think that is a great thing. It really helps prepare students for college and life beyond high school. The sports involvement is great and makes the highschool experience that much better as well. I think areas for work are some of the classes are too easy. Some teachers don't strive or push enough in their students as they should. They don't all belive in their students as they should.

My school has so many opportunities for a variety of career choices that help you figure out your future early. My school prides them self with testing high every year for state testing, which I think benefits the level of education you are given. If you have different struggles the teachers and administrators want to see you succeed and will help you any way they can. Having classes for all people's interests and being able to start any club that you want also helps with involvement in school.

Brandon Valley does an excellent job with academics, and has a lot of dual credit opportunities, as well as advanced placement classes that help prepare advanced students for college. There are also plenty of internship opportunities as well, which I know have helped many students get jobs after graduation.

I have had great experiences with the teachers, the students... not so much. As a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, I have seen quite a bit of discrimination from the other students. I have watched my friends get called slurs and my freshman year a group of boys yelled "Shoot up the gays" at me and my friend. But there are also a lot of people who support people like me, both students and staff. The education here is amazing, the only problem I have ever had with this school is the discrimination within it.

The staff at Brandon Valley High School were so helpful to me during some of the roughest years of my life. I have always struggled with math, but my teachers never gave up on me and I was able to get the hang of more and more with their support. Brandon is a great school district and is a very safe, smart choice for your kids!

Brandon Valley was extremely understanding and inclusive toward its students. The district provided everyone with amazing opportunities to help in nearly every aspect of life. Being both a fine arts member and athlete I felt that the school district put a genuine emphasis on the importance of both during my time there. Mental health was also a major factor during high school and the awareness and thought that much of the faculty put into it was highly appreciated. Brandon Valley is a highly accredited school for a reason, the school was a positive environment without being lackadaisical with their rules and how they need to be followed. Overall I would recommend any parent who may be on the fence about where to send their child to school to look into the home of the lynx and really appreciate their attention to what may seem like the little things that improve on the little things in education. Brandon Valley is inclusive and a healthy place to grow and learn.

I’ve had a great time in high school. The teachers have been nothing but great to me, and the whole office staff is great. Everyone really cares.

Brandon Valley High School has a great learning curriculum, they offer great clubs, and have an amazing football team. They prepare you for college, by teaching you techniques that we can use in everyday scenarios. Although life may be challenging most of the teachers are understanding and willing to help make a difference.

Overall, it's pretty nice for a public school. There are plenty of clubs and organizations for students to get involved in. The teachers are generally decent. There are many areas for improvement. The environment isn't very welcoming for new students and the students can be very exclusive. As a member of the high school's Fine Arts programs, it is very disappointing to see that sports and athletes are valued more. I cannot imagine what this school is like for students of color. I know that slurs and racist comments have been said. It is also harder for LGBTQ+ kids, as a good chunk of students are not accepting and are hom*ophobic. People aren't always respectful of pronouns. There are only a few college classes and it would be nice if there were more of them. Different areas of the school are better kept than others and some bathrooms seem to get cleaned minimally. It has been a generally mediocre school, but this is from the perspective of a white cis gendered individual.

I dread going to this school because the school is just a toxic place to be I am African American and racially tormented almost every day. I also get made fun of for my appearance this school has always been a predominantly white school. This school has little to no diversity at all. I would really love to transfer schools but I can't because of district borderlines. I would recommend not to come here if your are not caucasian because it will make you feel as if your not welcome here with all the racial slurs they use. This school needs a reality check.

While it isn’t a bad school, it struggles a lot with accepting others who aren’t quite the same as the other students. There’s a big gap between LGBTQ+ students and straight students. It also is a bit unfriendly towards those who don’t hold Republican views, as it’s a rural town school. Some students have worn confederate flag hoodies to school, saying slurs every couple seconds. But, I’ve also met some amazing friends. I switched schools for the 2020-2021 school year, and I don’t regret choosing Brandon.
