Gadgets for Dad: Gift ideas for Father’s Day, birthdays, holidays and any occasion - Technobubble Tech (1)

While driving with a certain unnamed relative one weekend, I casually brought up Father’s Day.

“Oh, to be honest, I didn’t even realize Father’s Day was coming up,” she said.

Yup, that sounds about right.

To be fair, even male athletes usually say “Hi, mom,” when being interviewed at a sporting event. Just because Father’s Day is like the Wish version of Mother’s Day, however, doesn’t mean folks can’t give dads their flowers, too.

On that note, here is a list of gadget recommendations that you can give dad, whether it be for Father’s Day, their birthday, Christmas or any other special occasion. Sure, you can give dad a tie to celebrate his promotion. But he will likely be happier with these gift recommendations.

Sennheiser Accentum Plus

Like dad jokes, you may not necessarily like dad’s music. But you know he just absolutely loves it. When it comes to premium audio, few brands are as recognizable as Sennheiser, which dad will quite appreciate. One new option to consider is the Sennheiser Accentum Plus. These headphones feature wireless connectivity, active noise cancellation, a built-in equalizer and that trademark Sennheiser sound quality all wrapped up in a comfy, lightweight design. Add its 50-hour battery life and quick charging time that can get your five hours just from 10 minutes of charging and you have a great pair of headphones for plane flights or long trips, too. As the final icing on the cake, the Sennheiser Accentum Plus just got a price drop from its original $230 price tag.

Cost: $200

Panasonic ARC5 Electric Shaver

Gadgets for Dad: Gift ideas for Father’s Day, birthdays, holidays and any occasion - Technobubble Tech (2)

Men and shaving typically go together like cookies and cream. And while nothing comes as close — no pun intended — as a good, old razor, a lot of guys still prefer using an electric razor for convenience and less razor burn. One standout in the electric razor segment is the Panasonic ARC5. As its name implies, the Panasonic ARC5 uses a five-blade shaving system that results in one of the closest shaves you can get with an electric razor. This thing can even outperform some more expensive competitors. The Panasonic ARC5 is also versatile, operating in both dry mode or wet mode for folks who like to use shaving cream. Cleanup is pretty easy and the foil and blades can be replaced to get even more mileage out of it. Add excellent battery life — this thing can last for many, many days before needing to be charged — and the Panasonic ARC5 is one of the best electric shavers out in the market. Otherwise, you can also consider its smaller sibling, the ARC3 for a more affordable option.

Cost: $160

Everybody can benefit from good hydration and dad is no exception. If you’re looking to give your dad a more natural alternative to Gatorade with better ingredients and without the artificial colors and flavors, then gifting him a Vitapod Go starter bundle is one option. The bundle comes with a Vitapod Go bottle, which is available in several colors. It also comes with 30 flavor pods of your choice, such as Strawberry Mango, Apple Pear, Blueberry Pomegrenate and, if dad wants to relive his wild youth, Cotton Candy. To prepare a drink, you just need to open the lid, add tap water, insert a flavor pod, close the cap and then shake and voila, instant flavored water infused with vitamins and minerals. The cost translates to about $1.86 per serving for one pod. That cost can drop to about $1.50 with a subscription.

Cost: $81 for a Vitapod Go Bottle plus a 30-pack of flavor pods

In fact, almost every part can be adjusted from the headrest to the arm rest all the way down to the seat to accommodate any position. Razer Wolverine V2 Pro and V2 Chroma

Gadgets for Dad: Gift ideas for Father’s Day, birthdays, holidays and any occasion - Technobubble Tech (8)

All work and no play makes daddy a dull boy, er, man. For fathers who like to game, a nice controller can make a fun hobby even more enjoyable. And if your dad is one of those old-school guys who still prefers to play first-person shooters on a controller because they just can’t get used to a keyboard and mouse setup, then the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro just might be what Dr. Mario ordered. This enthusiast controller comes with several “pro” gaming features, including a bunch of extra buttons that can be programmed and remapped via Razer’s Controller Setup app for tons of customization. The D-pad, usually a weakness for many controllers, and the buttons also feel good thanks to the use of Razer’s Mecha-Tactile inputs, making them good for classic games, too. And for shooters, Hair Trigger mode lets you fire faster while a sensitivity clutch button helps slow or speed up aiming for precise targeting. The controller has a PlayStation 5 (V2 Pro) and Xbox Series (V2 Chroma) version, both of which work on PC in wired and wireless mode. Note that the PS5 version, though, is much, much more expensive. Otherwise, if dad doesn’t mind gaming on Xbox or PC with a more basic wired controller, you can get the cheaper Razer Wolverine V2 for just $70.

Cost: $250 (PS5), $128 (XBOX)

EZQuest USB-C Multimedia Hub

Gadgets for Dad: Gift ideas for Father’s Day, birthdays, holidays and any occasion - Technobubble Tech (9)

Port space is at a premium when it comes to today’s laptops. There’s the competition between the traditional USB-A fat port vs. USB-C so you usually end up with less of either. The focus on making laptops even slimmer also means fewer ports and the removal of HDMI and Ethernet ports that used to come standard. If you notice that dad keeps swapping around drives, accessories and a bunch of adapters when using his laptop, then it might be time to give the poor guy a multimedia hub. One option is the EZQuest 8-in-1 Multimedia Hub Adapter, which turns one USB-C port into several connections. These include three USB-A ports and one USB-C, one HDMI, one Gigabit Ethernet, one sD card and one MicroSD port. And if dad owns either a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, then you can go for the EZQuest Ultimate Multimedia Hub Adapter, which comes with 13 connections for the same price, including a VGA display connector and 3.5mm headphone jack socket. Both also come with pass-through power, allowing you to charge devices.

Cost: $50
