In this role, you will work with machines that turn iron wires into nets for concrete. Your job is to make sure these machines run well. If something goes wrong, you fix it. Most of the work is done by the machine. You will also use a crane to move iron rolls. Your tasks include running different machines, using a crane, keeping your area clean, and fixing any problems. As a reinforcement operator you are responsible for the machine that makes reinforcement nets from iron wires on a roll for the concrete. You ensure that the machine runs smoothly and if there is a malfunction or work is required, you carry it out. It is an automated process, the machine does the work itself. The only thing that needs to be done is to use a crane to place the iron rolls in the right place and connect them to the machine. Below are the activities:
- Independently operate reinforcement machine (MMR) which produces unique reinforcement meshes
- Independently operate reinforcement machine (GTA/Versa) which produces unique lattice girders
- Operating the hall crane
- Keeping the workplace clean
- Identifying and solving disruptions in the process
